I will improve the quality of, education for girls. Putting more female into the higher positions. These female will become and show positive role models to female students, encouraging them to continue with their secondary education. I think the fourteen of us will show positive role models to female students in South Sudan. The grater the presence of female in higher positions, the higher the female students enrollment, attendance, and retention rates. By conducting several training workshop in the Ministry of Education, inviting, (PTA), Parents Teachers Association. Then to the states and to the communities at the grassroots. Deliver information that necessary to translate education into positive life opportunities, and to ensure access to, and importance of, education for girls.

Wow Eliza, you pointed at the target by saying you will increase the number of female teachers, this is what the ministry of education has to do by enrolling big number of female teachers to advocate girls education and i believe your presence in the ministry will be of a great help. Please when we go back try to take action on this issue especially with your position of being a Director General in the ministry of Education.
ReplyDeleteElizabeth, What Criteria have you plan to use for 'putting more females into the higher positions'? you have thought provoking ideas and if only the ideas you have are put in to action, you will leave a legacy in the Ministry of education.
ReplyDeleteEliza, I agree with you if women were put in high position they can make it because they have heart of building a nation, just like mama Julia did by motivating us 14 women that you can change South Sudan me alone cannot do it needs more hands to join together can fight for ourselves, So 14 woman of us will make great change in life of female students by giving them words of hope that they will make it through our supports.
ReplyDeleteThis is a great conversation ladies. I'm impressed at the sharing of ideas. I think Peace brings up some critical points? What are the criteria for placing women into positions of power? Elizabeth, I also appreciate the focus on working with Parent Teacher Groups. Getting that community involvement is so critical!
ReplyDeleteThis is a great idea! It is true that to encourage girls' education in South Sudan, we need a joint effort of the bigger community. I am still interested to know the methods you will use to sensitize the different groups of sectors you mentioned.
